Spain: hiking and swimming Valle de Bóquer in Mallorca

We checked out of our hotel in Cala D’Or and headed to Pollença. We hiked Valle de Bóquer which was absolutely stunning – definitely the coolest place I’ve ever swam. There were some mountain goats which was a fun surprise until they wanted to eat our snacks. After the hike we went into town for a quick lunch before checking into our special hotel for Izzy’s birthday. We may or may not have rented a private villa. It was an emotional day, the hotel is spectacular and it will be a great place to celebrate her birthday tomorrow on this once in a lifetime trip. We settled in with some cava made at the hotel’s winery (they also make olive oil) and took advantage of the spa facilities hitting up the steam room, plunge pool and water circuit. We had a beautiful dinner – more octopus and seabass!
