Lake Lovely Water: a casual helicopter into the mountains

Ali’s surprise bachelorette! We took a helicopter to Lake Lovely Water to backcountry camp, eat bougie food, and do a little hiking.

Our helicopter left from Squamish and was a short, but absolutely stunning ride to Lake Lovely Water. The pilot gave us a safety briefing and explained how we’d exit the heli while it was still running as they weren’t allowed to stop on the mountain itself. It was so wild and such a cool experience!

It was a hot day so once we arrived we immediately got in the water. We were stoked to be the only people up there and picked out the best tent pad with a view. For dinner – a four course meal consisting of burrata, scallops, sablefish and brownies. Not having to hike up meant we could bring it all!

We woke up, had a delicious breakfast and then headed out on a day hike. Probably one of the best hikes I’ve done, it was just so beautiful and the terrain was really interesting. We finished our hike with a big charcuterie board and a refreshing swim before catching our helicopter back to Squamish.

It was a really special way to celebrate Ali’s bachelorette – an unforgettable experience for an incredible friend! I love these girls so much!
