Portland: the gang eats a lot of food

It was Steven, Megan and I’s first time in Portland. Megan planned the whole trip and absolutely nailed it!

We flew out Thurs night and checked in to our super cute tiny home in a hipster area North of Portland. We went to Matt’s BBQ joint for dinner and holyyyyyyy it was next level. We finished the night at the Victoria – a Princess Bride themed cocktail bar. We definitely did not pick up on the theme but regardless, the cocktails and laughs were a great time!

The next morning we hit up Sweedeedee for brunch and explored our neighborhood, browsing vintage shops and drinking way too much coffee. For dinner we went to Eem for Thai food. 10/10 day and 10/10 full.

Another day another brunch. This time featuring biscuits and gravy, and a homemade pop tart. Unreal. We then headed downtown Portland where we ate donuts, a poet wrote us a custom poem about sisterhood, and we picked up an autographed copy of Diary by Chuck Palahniuk – very cool. Dinner was Mexican food on a patio, followed by a live jazz show!

Our last full day in Portland was another day of food – starting our day with chicken and waffles and way too much coffee. We explored another neighborhood, napped, checked out the rose garden and had a long walk downtown in search of the best gluten free pizza for Megan. Pizza Kat certainly delivered!

The next morning we had to have a light breakfast – we couldn’t do it anymore! We did a bit more shopping, a bit more coffee hopping and one or two more tacos before we had to head home to Vancouver.

Portland was a super cool city, the food and coffee were unreal. Will definitely be back!
